Hello, we are facing an issue in FA.

we added an asset for 9 years, without depreciation in the first place. Then we adjust it to depreciate after 7 months.

the problem is that the system did calculate from the life in years (9 years), not from remaining life (8 years and 5 months). How can we fix this??

To clarify:

• When an asset has been integrated with the flag DEPRECIATE = NO, how to make sure to put it back DEPRECIATE = YES and that the depreciation calculation is done over the remaining duration and not since commissioning? Why does the adjustment not work?

• What is the “Amortization Start Date” field for? Obviously, regardless of the date put in this field (even without a date), if the DEPRECIATE flag = YES, the calculation of depreciation works correctly
