CPQ BOM Part number qty as a decimal

Summary:

Typically most parts put into a BOM in CPQ is a whole item. so usually that follows that we use a whole integer. However, in scenarios where the part represents a non-tangible service like hours of labor. In this situation, per our customers, we need to line-item the part/service as an hour, but need to be able to quantify a half hour. So .5 hours. and price it according to the .5. My developers/admins cannot find a way to do this. We are not seeing anything in the documentation.
