If I turn approvals Deadlines back on, would it send old notifications when it was off?

2 months ago, we turned off approvals “Notifications Reminders“ by changing the Expiration Settings under the Deadlines tab to "Do Nothing" instead of "Assignee Level"

My question is, if we turned it back on for some of the tasks we previously turned off, would it send the users any old/historical notifications? or will it just send the new notifications starting the date we turned it back on?
