How to identify a model (child or parent) uniquely in in System configuration

Summary:

Is there any system attribute by which we can know the current model (which we have opened in config)

Content (required):

I want to know if we can have a config system attribute which can be used to uniquely identify the current model and based on that I will write a recommendation rule and set an attribute.

Please note that if I add the same models under the root model, they should differentiate uniquely

For example:

Root Model 

   Child Model 1

Child model 1.1

   Child Model 2

Child model 2.1

All models Child Model 1, Child Model 1.1, Child Model 2, Child Model 2.1 can be identified uniquely
