Significance of Operation sequence number in Supply Planning

Summary:Significance of Operation sequence number in Supply Planning

Content (required):

Hi

What is the significance of Operation sequence numbers in Bill of Material Component file? Like what is the difference we would expect in following scenario

Uploaded Bom for Item A  having 3 component

Sfg 1 , RM 1 and RM2 .

Sfg 1 is made up of RM3 and RM 4

Now if in BOM component we keep operation sequence like..

10 - item A

20 - SFG1

30 - RM1

40 - RM2

10 - sfg 1

20 - RM 3

30 - RM4

And in Routing Operation resources

We have only one record

Item A , Resource A, operation sequence number 10

What would be the difference it make if we keep all operation sequence resource as 10 instead of 10 ,20, 30, 40, as all are part of one operations only.

Howdy, Stranger!
