Asset Additions for a past in service date - Oracle Fusion Cloud

Summary: Is it possible to add assets (not update/transfer/retire) as they haven't even been added yet) for a previous fiscal year and have the depreciation set for that past date and only be calculated for a certain date range--that would be prior to current open FA period?

If not, is there a way to load them via FBDI with specific dates, values, etc. for that prior past period? Any help is greatly appreciated.
