VB FA extension to PROD.

Summary:

Please, any help would be appreciated with the following.

I have a small extension for FA developed with VB, it is planned to move to PROD shortly and I would like a smooth process as it is the first.

I have the following connections:

1) To OIC to call a POST.

2) A connection to show a list of values for countries.

I would need suggestions from somebody who has done this before.

My initial doubts:

In conn. 1) should I change manually the connection before deploy to PROD? which is the best practice for this?
In conn 2) when I deploy to FA-PROD, is it transparent ? have I to do something? it is based in "backend", could I be easy everything is under control?
