Setting up EDMCS to TRCS metadata integration

We currently are trying to create a direct integration which exports our TRCS dimension metadata from EDMCS into the TRCS inbox/outbox and import that file using a predefined job. This would be done using OIC and rest API calls. I had set this up for FCCS, but in our EDMCS the connection to TRCS is defined as a global connection and the type is Universal. So, I'm having some issues using the rest APIs to trigger an export of the metadata in EDMCS. So essentially I would use the rest API call that exports metadata to a configured source, but
