Effect of removing a Service Administrator from EPM Planning Cloud who currently owns artefacts.

We want to remove a former EPBCS/Planning service administrator from our Identity Domain, and consequently Planning. The individual is currently the owner of a number of objects within Calculation Manager, i.e. Rulesets, Rules and Scripts. 

Is it safe to just remove said owner without taking any further actions? And what will be the effect on the 'Owner' and 'Last Modified By' properties once the owner is removed?

The individual concerned is not the application owner.
