Calculations with Sum Distinct for Pivot Table

Summary:

Hi! I am hoping for some guidance regarding a report I am making to predict retirement in my company.

I built a formula to estimate the likelihood of retirement. (I did this by reviewing our data for several years and identifying retirement patterns by age. For example, between 62-64, 27.12% of people retire; between 65-69, 47.59% of people retire, etc.)

I use several age groups to assign a probability of turnover to each specific person. If there are four 63 year-olds in a given department, each has a .2712 probability of leaving. Across all four of these folks, it suggests that 1.08 'people' are likely to retire within a calendar year. (To align with our requirements, I also ensure they have at least 10 years of service.)
