Is there any documentation available on using AND, OR, and groups in OTBI report filters?

Summary: I am trying to set up filters in an OTBI report to pull a subset of employees for an assignment in Oracle Learn. I need to select a group of employees and then exclude a subgroup. I was able to create what looked like a group in the filters, (see below the program created a box around 2 entries which looked like a group), but when the analysis ran, it didn't treat it as a group. Instead of excluding people in Business Unit Arnett Physicians AND Job Family Physicians & Advanced Providers as expected,
