Forecasting using supersession Phase In and Phase out

It's related to Forecasting using Supersession process.

A) Can we know how forecasting using supersession will be leverage especially for phase in/phase out?

It appears that this functionality is utilized when one item fully replaces another item on a specific date with no transition period.

Can we know if there is supersession chain A-> B, how the engine handles and generates forecast during transition period?

B) Is it possible to create Supersession chain with overlap dates?

Say there is a chain A-> B, As end date is 1-June -2024 and Bs start date is 01-Feb-2024. How to define supersession chain for this scenario?
