Inventory Organization locator control change

We have a Inventory organization where the Locator control was defined as "No locator control" in Inventory Organization UI.

We now want to change the Locator control to "Locator control determined at subinventory level" in Inventory Organization UI. Can we change the locator control as it is in this UI.

Will this affect anything or If this was changed what will be the impact. Can we change it directly.
