Child Item quantity

How can we specify the quantity of a child item? Currently OCC is multiplying the child item's price by parent item's quantity.

For example, a child item on an externally configured sku could be a warranty or an inspection, but currently OCC is multiplying the warranty/inspection cost by the quantity of the parent items.
