Parent Site-Company Structure

Summary:

We are starting a new implementation and would like to better understand the suggested configuration for managing companies and facilities.

This is the current organizational hierarchy. This customer is not a 3PL. They are a manufacturer with different companies in the same warehouse.

We created comp1, 2, 3 and 4 and linked them all into the same 'Installation 1', but once we set the installation as site, we cannot change the installation showing an error message "Installation not found". If we define the facility as a distribution center, this works. Therefore, we asked support to better understand if this is the recommended configuration.
