Item Status versus item Templates

For Our Business, we are creating New items via ECO Process, FBDI and Restapi, Manual, FBDI

We have defined below Setup

1). Item Status =Active with Customer order and Customer orders enabled = No

2). We have 2 item template, one for saleable Item (customer Order and Customer orders Enabled = Yes) one for non-saleable Items with Customer order and Customer orders enable = No) as we would like the control at template level for saleable/Non-saleable items
