ASO Cube - Drill Down Vs Refresh of Bottom

Summary:

I'm facing a weird use case with our ASO reporting Cube. Our Reporting Cube is very sparse and we have 2 big dimensions : 1 emplyee dimension (around 80k members) and cost center dimension (around 30k).

In smart view, when i drill down from Top Member to Bottom (with suppression enabled) it takes 2 mins max. After that, if i executed the same refresh using the base members previously pulled, it's taking much more.. something like 20 to 25 mins.

i was not expecting this as it exactly the same dataset.

are you aware of any performance consideration between Drill Down vs Base Members retrieve is ASO?
