Total expenses or specific expense need to be added as a field in Project detail

As per client requirement,In Projects module, total expenses or particular custom expense such as (Estim cost) should be added in the Project detail as custom field. Is it possible to bring the expense mapped to Project details since dimensions in both form are different and need clarity on this. Thanks in advance if any possible solution provided.
