Exposing Oracle Cloud API to external systems

Summary: We are working on an enterprise level decision on a requirement to expose the ERP Cloud API to external system/Applications.


Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

 Option#1:  Expose the Oracle API directly with an ERP cloud user/password. We have concern on security control and may impact performance. 

Option#2:  We are using OIC as middleware tool for all integrations. Create OIC wrapper service using the ERP API and expose the OIC endpoint to system/Applications via OCI API Gateway.
