SEEKING FEEDBACK: What are the Pros and Cons of Workforce?

Can the experts out there chime in on the Pros and Cons or any pitfalls you've encountered when implementing Workforce?
We use Oracle SPARK which is configured to manage people by Job and Not Position, and we are investigating Workforce as a complement to PBCS as a +1.
When it comes to hiring requisitions, one of the main issues we have is tracking budgeted headcount and whether a position is approved. There is a lot of manual work and reconciliation when filling requisitions: Was this person included in the budget? Is this a backfill? Is this is new position? Does the person who fills this requisition create an opening in another department, etc.
