Automation of Opening Period for Enterprise Journal

Hi,

I am looking for a API that automates the process of opening period in Enterprise Journal for Admin activity. I see there is a API for opening period for FCCS Period, not sure if we can use this. But since there is a API for deploytemplate as Job type, why not for Open period?
