What are the best practices for handing Intersession Courses in SFP?

We have Winter Intersession and June Intersession courses offered to students. These courses are not financial aid eligible so we do not want when them to contribute to student's enrollment statuses in SFP which could affect financial aid eligibility. We do however need the Intersession courses to count toward the student's program completion for calculating things like grade level and completion of the degree.

What is the best method to send the Intersession courses to SFP to contribute to the total program completion but to be excluded from being counted on the term enrollment level?
