Can Purchase Order Obligations be moved from one budget period to another?
Summary:
We have 4 budget periods in a year (quarters). Sometimes, a PO and its correspondent Obligation is created, but it's not invoiced in that period, but in a future budget period. So, when the Invoice is finally created and approved, we see in that period a negative Obligation (because the Expenditure is increased and Obligation decreased). Is there any process or functionality to update budget dates on PO distributions, and move the Obligation from one budget period to another?
We read this document Managing Budgetary Control Carry Forward (Doc ID 2705986.1), and evaluate using Carry Forward Purchase Order Budgetary Control Balances, but it seems to be used for year-end processes, when a new budget is created (i.g. from 2024, to 2025).
