Does Planning Consider Post Processing Lead Time on an Unplanned Manually Created Purchase Order?

edited May 29, 2024 8:25PM in Supply Chain Planning and Collaboration 8 comments

Summary:

We understand Pre, Processing, and Post Processing Lead Time for PLANNED Orders. We understand the Suggested Due Date is the Due Date for Supplier Plus Post Processing Lead Time.

However, let's assume I have 50 day Post Processing Lead Time. Collections runs, issues planned order, and we issue the PO.

The next day, I change the Post Processing Lead Time to Zero Days (on the item).

Collections will run again.

Does planning now recalc with ZERO Post Processing Lead time for that PO? We assume it will not. That PO and Suggested Due Date should be locked in.

Another way to describe the question is as below:

Howdy, Stranger!
