adding properties from excle to EDCMS does not work

we are trying to add properties to COID and COID COVR & CA node types within EDMCS we are using excel file to import the data that we have. This excel file has more then 33K+ rows and when we use this it keeps coming back with message as WAIT and on clicking wait for several times , it does not compete the process.

We used the same excel file and tried with 1000 rows , it works fine wit that. Is there a limitation wiht this ?
