Item Deletion group error/Close Corrective Action/Update Primary UOM

Summary:

we are trying to delete an Item from IMO using the Manage Delete group. The purpose of deleting the Item is - its created with wrong primary UOM and we do not see any way to update the primary UOM. so we want to delete the item and create a new Item.

But while deleting the Item, The delete group execution is ending with below error.

You can't delete an object that's affected by another object.The item or document 2****-**0 is listed as an affected object for the following: Corrective Action (2****-**0).

How should we remove/close the corrective action to be able to delete this Item? We suspect the Corrective Action was created by user error.
