Project Performance Not Updating Correctly for Budget Changes

Summary:

We have been having ongoing issue with the Review Project Performance screen not being updated correctly. No root cause has been identified nor do we know how many projects have an issue or how to prevent in the future. Has anyone else encountered this issue? When I refer to the screen "not being updated correctly" I primarly mean that it is adding together multiple budget versions into the EAC budget cost so the budget is doubled (or more). It also impacts the ITD budget cost, EAC budget raw cost, etc.

SR# 3-36934225971. We have an active SR that asked us run Update Project Performance for each project using the "Delete and Resummarize" option which did fix the issue when we tried it in a DEV environment for 9 projects. Functional users got hopeful that we could now run this process for all of our projects to fix issues and we asked Oracle if this is something we should consider running periodically. Their response was not only, "No" to running this process periodically to maintain our data integrity but also that we should not run this process for all projects at
