Support of Department of Education's June 26th 24/25 ISIR Updates

in Student Financial Aid

On June 26th the Department of Education released an update to Volumes 1, 4 and 9 of the FAFSA Specification Guides. Those updates can be found here.   After review, we determined the following updates are needed for SFA:

Volume 4 Updates

  • ISIR Correction Layout Update
    • The department of education changed two field values to filler fields
      • Field 7 - Student Middle Name
      • Field 9 - Student Suffix
    • Note - We have reached out to our FSA contact and validated these fields on any ISIR corrections sent to the department that still contain data will not be rejected and will still process successfully.
