Is "Manage Inventory Business Event Configurations" setup mandatory for WMS integrations?

Hi ,

Requesting
forum to please help in providing the use case for the setup task

"Manage Inventory Business Event Configurations" .

As a background we
have an external WMS for which we have set up the event in Middleware (OIC) for
Shipping Transactions- We are using Generate shipment request to send the sales
order details to WMS .It is working fine we are able to observe the payload in
OIC - middleware as well.

Hence requesting the forum to clarify the use case for this , and any potential callouts if this setup is not enabled.
