Custom View ESS Role is behaving unexpectedly

Summary:

There is a custom role created for business to provide access ESS history to certain users. The role was created under Role Category 'Common - Abstract Roles' with a Data Security Policy. The Data Resource 'ESS_REQUEST_HISTORY' was selected with all Privileges selected. But user is not able to search the job history for certain jobs (E.g. Generate Receipt Advice) submitted by other users when they try to search with the Name in Schedule process but able to search with Process ID. The user is providing the search parameters (Name, Dates) correctly.

Some users were able to do the free search for the same job and when we compared the roles they had an additional role 'Application Diagnostics Advanced User'.
