How to associate a user defined attribute to "onhand" ?

Hi,

We are using attribute based supply planning and because of this we have to associate demands and supplies with a user defined attribute.

We have defined an EFF "Key" which is associated with sales order ( demand). We will input a value to this "Key" and this should be passed down to supplies.

We were able to define DFF for supplies - Work order, purchase order , transfer order and value of "Key" will flow from sales order to supplies.

However we are not able to find a way to associate this "Key" to onhand.

We might be able to add values for "Key" to "onhand" using an addon but we are not sure how to setup the user defined attribute for "onhand".
