Unable to apply discounts on coverage item and do manual adjustments too

Summary:

Unable to apply discounts on coverage item.

  1. Added coverage item in manage price list and defined prices under associated items triangle button.
  2. Added coverage item to manage discount list and added simple discount(note: here there is no associated item triangle button).
  3. Created the order and unable to see any discounts on coverage line.

Are discounts not eligible on coverage items(extended warranty, preventive maintenance type of items)?

Even after enabling allow manual discount flag in price list unable to see pencil icon on coverage item in sales order line to manually adjust the price. Is this the seeded functionality?
