Post Packing Printing

I am testing cross dock functionality using the Post Packing OBLPN screen to enable printing of shipping labels on label printer for the cross dock order.

We are not using packing slips for this. Is there any way to suppress the document printer for this action? The only thing I can think of is to set the prompt-doc-printer parameter to Yes and then enter a dummy printer name. But this is an extra step for something that seems unnecessary.
