Item attribute "preposition point" - Is this used in Oracle Fusion Supply Planning?

Client wants to know what is the use of "preposition point". This is an attribute which is available in FBDI file for ITEM load (along with planning attributes) but not available in Product Information Management screen.

It's also available under "Item MRP and MPS Planning Specification Attributes".

Anyone knows the use of this attribute?
