Calling ThirdParty URL for standard field validation - Supplier GST

Summary:

We want to call a third-party URL to validate if the Tax number (GST in the case of India) is valid or not when the user provides the GST number in the Supplier Tax level. What options do we have to give this validation and show the error message based on API response?
