More than one year and period combination to schedule integration from Fusion to EPBCS?

My client loads data year by year in their current on premise system. We are implementing a new cloud based solution in EPBCS for their capital allowances.

There are instances where the current year, when in periods "January to August" where the previous year is also "open" too for all months, bringing in updated figures from Fusion, and the solution would recalculate any updates in figures, this is related to assets. They currently do this in relation to assets and are adamant this must be in place.
