Affect on in progress transactions on changing BPM rules or Approval Group members

Summary:

Hi

Do changing rules in BPM impact inflight transactions?

If we change the BPM rule to add a new level of approval, will the inflight transactions pick the new level after the current assignee approves?

Also, if we add a new member to the approval group, will the inflight transactions get assigned to newly added member?

We are checking this information for Payables approvals and Purchasing approvals. Hope this would be global behavior across BPM.
