work order firm checkbox not auto selected after released from Production Scheduling

Summary:

After work orders released from production scheduling, the scheduling method is changed to User or external scheduling, but Firm checkbox is not automatically selected. Hence when collection re-runs, supply planning re-run, work order dates are not honored…

Anyone has seen this issue? According to the name, firm checkbox should be automatically selected when scheduling method shows user or external scheduling. I tried manually select this from UI and it works fine. But seems like when PS released work orders, it doesn't work. Is this a known bug? We are in 24 C.
