EPBCS & Fusion BIP: RuntimeError: No periods were identified for loading data into table 'TDATASEG'.

When trying to integrate data from a BIP report into EPBCS the following error occurs:
RuntimeError: No periods were identified for loading data into table 'TDATASEG'.
