EDMCS to DB-Table Connectivity Feature

Summary: Can we expect a direct DB-Table connection feature in EDMCS, similar to the Database Table connection in DRM for importing and exporting hierarchy data?

In DRM, we have the following options:

Device: "Database Table"
Connection: "Database Connection"
Database Table: "DRM_STAGING_TABLE"
If this feature is already planned, when can we expect its release?
