Item Warehouse Details

Summary:

Items in our operations are unique to facility. We are considering using the Item » Warehouse fields so that the facility is known for reporting and integrations. At this time I would simply add a warehouse record so that the facility ID is there. I will not populate any of the fields, and the defaults on fields such as Max Location per Replen=0 would be fine.

My question is simply, are there any implications or downstream effects of adding the warehouse record? For example, putaway type is already populated on the item master but would be left blank on the warehouse screen. Is this ok? Any "surprises" I need to consider?
