does Transfer Order Supports Superseded Item?

Summary:

Hi Guru,

From reading the Oracle documentation, I thought that when an item has a designated Superceding item, when an order is placed for it, the system would use the Superceding item first, and if that item isn’t available, it would use the requested item.

               We have item # 000000238 with an item relationship setup for 000000250 as a Superceding item.

               I created Transfer Order # 274001 in the Dev 4 instance for Org A, which included line 2 for item 000000238, requested Qty 12,000 ft. There was a Qty on hand of 4,823  and also a Qty of  1,004,942 of item 000000250. When I performed a Pick Release of line 2, I expected it to ship 12,000 of item # 000000250, but instead the Qty of 4,823 of item # 000000238 was shipped and the rest put on backorder.
