A: If anti-virus software is installed on a Workstation or Servicehost, it must be able to exclude certain files from its scans.
If this functionality is not present in the anti-virus product installed, the scan must be turned off altogether to prevent various issues with reporting and check handling between Workstations and the Check and Posting Service server.
The following should be excluded:
- Micros folder (located in the C drive by default)
- SQL Server (Express)
- Set exclusions to not scan any files with an extension of .ndf , .mdf and .ldf where the database(s) reside.
