How do I get the IP address of an Epson printer?

    It depends on the interface that you have installed on the printer.

    1.     If you have an Ethernet interface with 4 Dip Switches you should:

    a)     Turn off the printer

    b)    Turn on dip switch 1

    c)     Turn on the printer – it should print a receipt with the current IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, etc.

    d)    Turn off printer – Turn off dip switch 1 – Turn on the printer

     

    2.     If you have an Ethernet interface with no dip switches, while the printer is turned on, use a pen or a paperclip to press and hold the small reset button on the back of the printer (usually located to the right of the Ethernet port) for approximately three or four seconds. A ticket will print out containing the current IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, etc.

     Note: Do NOT hold the reset button longer than 5 seconds. This will reset the printer to factory settings.
