OVMS: Error while running runinstaller.com from patch 10.2.0.4 location

  Hi,
we are trying to install patch 10.2.0.4 (Patch 6810189) on top of our existing 10.2.0.2 database on VMS 8.3
we downloaded the patch zip file p6810189_10204_ItaniumVMS.zip;1 under DKB2:[PATCH_10204]
the unzipped file PATCHSET_10204_IA64.BCK is also under DKB2:[PATCH_10204]

we unpacked the BCK file as follows

set def dKB2:[patch_10204]
$ back/log PATCHSET_10204_IA64.BCK/sav DKB2:[PATCH_10204.P6810189]*.*;*

this extracted all the patch files and directories under DKB2:[PATCH_10204.P6810189]

set def DKB2:[PATCH_10204.P6810189]
dir runinstaller.com

Directory DKB2:[PATCH_10204.P6810189]

runInstaller.com;1

Total of 1 file.


we shut down the database, backed it up, backed up oracle home and inventory as well
