Assigning Ports On Premise Equipment

We are running Metasolv 6.x and are working on a new product, ethernet over copper. As part of this product offering there will be a piece of CPE on the customer site that has 8 ports available to it.
We need to be able to represent in our DLR a given circuit being designed for a customer where the port on a DS0 card in our collo maps to one of the 8 ports on that CPE. However I can't for the life of me find a way to model this in Metasolv. If I am on the DLR and choose to add Premise equipment it only allows me to pull in the equipment name and type info..with no actual ability to assign ports on that equipment.
