How to configure SAM-QFS to notify a person when there is a problem.

Is there a design reason why when the system encounters a problem tape or one with problem files it doesn't simply log/report the problem and move on to the enxt task in archiving? Such error handling would keep a system from ultimately stalling all tape drives dedicasted to archiving, and by extension the SAN would not fill up. Some improvement to the related error handling would be truly beneficial, as would additional reporting, e.g. a dashboard indicating the status of ech major function, e.g. staging, archiving, rearchiving, releasing, recycling, tape drive utilization. Perhaps this exists in newer versions of SAM-FS
