Error while registering the Oracle Jinitiator 1.3.1.26 registry keys

  I am trying to install the Oracle Jinitiator 13126 on a Window XP machine. During the install I received the following error message:

Error while registering the Oracle Jinitiator1.3.1.26 registry keys.

I went into the control Panel and used the Change/Remove option to uninstall it. I received a message that the software was successfully removed but when I went back in it was still showing.
