Ldap client init will not allow users to login

After initializing a new Solaris 10 server to the LDAP env users cannot login. However I can su - username and get into their account.
I used the following command to initialize:

ldapclient init -a proxyDN=cn=proxyagent=ou=profile,dc=abc123,dc=com -a corp.local -a profilename=default -a proxypassword=asdasdasd 10.160.0.44

This client is connecting to a Sun one directory 5.2 P4 directory that was newly installed. This directory has been installed using the typical installation and idsconfig ran to use simple authentication.

System is connected.. Don't understand why I can't login remotely.

# ldapclient list
NS_LDAP_FILE_VERSION= 2.0
NS_LDAP_BINDDN= cn=proxyagent,ou=profile,dc=abc123,dc=com

Howdy, Stranger!
