Upgrade ST2530 firmware and CAM

Hello,We have an ST2530 with firmware 06.70.54.10 and CAM v. 6.1.1.10 that we would like them to be upgraded.
In the document "Sun StorageTek 2500 series array firmware upgrade guide", it says: "Prerequisite: Before upgrading from the 06.xx to 07.xx firmware, you must turn
Media Scan OFF at a subsystem level and then reboot both controllers."
Does this refer to disk scrubbing? how can it be turned off?
Also, if I understand it correctly, firstly we should upgrade the firmware to 07.35.xx.xx by using the firmware upgrade utility and then the CAM software to v. 6.9.0.16, is it correct?
